Travelling with dog to Norway

Modified on Wed, 22 May at 1:07 PM

If you want to bring a dog to Norway from a country within the EU/EEA, these requirements must be met:

  • The dog must be identified with a microchip.
  • The dog must have an EU-approved pet passport
  • The dog must be vaccinated against rabies at least 21 days before entry to
    Norway.
  • The dog must be treated for tapeworms 1-5 days before entry to Norway. The treatment
must be carried out by a veterinarian and confirmed by the veterinarian in the pet passport for
    the dog.

More information can be found on the Norwegian Food Safety Authority’s website.
