If you travel between Bergen/Stavanger–Hirtshals and Hirtshals–Stavanger/Bergen (MS Bergensfjord and MS Stavangerfjord), the ships are equipped with dog cages on deck. Dog cages must be ordered in advance. You must complete this step under ‘Passengers’ when booking the tickets online. Dog cages cost 13 EUR one way.
Cages come in three sizes: medium cage 70x100x75 cm, large cage 100x100x75 cm and extra large cage 120x100x160 cm. The dog owner gets a key to the kennel and does not have to make an appointment with the staff to walk the dog.
Note that the owner is fully responsible for the dog on board. Our crew does not supervise the kennels or dog-walking areas.
There are no dog cages on the Fjord FSTR that sails between Kristiansand–Hirtshals/Hirtshals–Kristiansand. Here, dogs must be booked in as pets in a car. You can bring your dog to the afterdeck and the lounge by the afterdeck.
