Identification for travelling to Denmark

Modified on Tue, 6 Aug at 12:26 PM

You need valid travel documents and ID.

All passengers over 18 years of age must bring valid identification in physical form – either a passport, driving license or bank card with a photo. The name on the ID must correspond with the name on the ticket. Foreign citizens living in Norway must show their passports and possibly a visa issued for travel in the Nordic Region. Citizens from countries outside the EU/EEA must meet the requirements of the destination country on passports, visas, vaccinations, etc. and are encouraged to find out the respective authorities’ applicable rules.

Passengers are responsible for obtaining the required travel documents. Failure to produce travel documents will be considered the same as a no-show, and the ticket will not be refunded. You are responsible for covering the costs of return travel etc. if an entry permit is declined in the destination country, for example because of your failure to produce travel documents, a passport or ID.

Vehicles should bear the international vehicle registration code. You should have your travel insurance documentation with you.

Important: All passengers over the age of 18 must, in addition to a valid travel document, bring a valid ID in physical form.
